Ben Nyberg Ben Nyberg, Manager

Visionary. Genius. Creepy. These are just a few of the words that may or may not have been used to describe Ben Nyberg. After one year as a TOA designer, this prodigy sky-rocketed straight to the top. Now, as manager, Ben serves as the figurative backbone, femur, and ribcage of The Occidental Agency.

In his spare time, Ben enjoys watching House on Fox and studying Klingon in order to help less fortunate Klingons on 3rd world planets.

Ben Adlin Ben Adlin, Designer

French writer and philosopher Voltaire once wrote, "doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd". It might more appropriately read, "doubt is not a pleasant condition, but Ben Adlin is absurd".

Absurdly good at graphic design, that is. That's why we hired him.

Thomas Carroll Thomas Carroll, Designer

Look Thomas Carroll up on facebook. Really, just try it. All you'll discover is a huge gaping void. But Thomas is far from empty space. In fact, he exists in at least three dimensions (as far as we know). You might know Thomas from all of the KOXY posters you see around campus. He's pretty much responsible for all of them.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoys hunting aquatic vertebrates (and releasing them, he's vegan).

Laura Wong Laura Wong, Designer

As a child, Laura Wong always dreamt of being a graphic designer at a student run graphic design agency at a small liberal arts college on the west coast. After a semester abroad in Japan, her dream was set in motion. First she applied to work for TOA. Then she was hired. Now she works for TOA. Her graphic design is cool!

In her spare time, she watches Project Runway and does other things, I'm sure!

Justin Young Justin Young, Designer

Justin Young emigrated from Portland, Oregon in 2006 to seek asylum in Los Angeles. Since arriving, Justin has wowed the Occidental community with his suave gait and impeccable fashion sense. His graphic design isn't half bad either.

Emma Green Emma Green, Designer

Only one word is necessary to describe Emma Green. Unfortunately, that word is neither sufficient to describe her, nor can it be spoken by human tongues. Frankly, it's not even worth the attempt, as one would need to venture outside the domain of human concepts, an ill-starred journey to be sure.

Mele Ihara Mele Ihara, Designer

Unceasingly curious, Mele Ihara is always one to learn new things. Born and raised in Los Angeles, it might be said that Mele always had a certain flair for aesthetics. When the position for "Graphic Design Intern" opened up, she finally got her chance to show it off.

In her spare time, Mele enjoys studying people who died over 2000 years before she was born, and watching the hit NBC drama "Heroes".
